You can easily turn your old videos into online marketing assets that fill the top of your sales funnel with new leads. It’s fast, easy, and you don’t even need an IT person to do it. In fact, 2 of the 3 tools listed below can be set up in just a few minutes. One of them even offers a free option. When it’s this easy and affordable to turn your videos into a lead generating tool, why wouldn’t you?

Whether it’s updating your old videos or shooting a whole new set of virtual tours, testimonials, construction education videos and more, we’ve got 3 easy ways for you to turn your home builder videos into fresh new leads.

Lead Player

Use your library of YouTube videos to easily and automatically build your lead list with Lead Player. Lead Player is a tool for your WordPress blog that enables you to add opt-in boxes to videos that are hosted on Youtube. Viewers on YouTube will have an opportunity to opt-in to download a brochure, be notified of new videos that are published, join your email newsletter, or any call-to-action that you choose. The opt-in form works for any video that you have hosted on YouTube, or any video that you embed from YouTube onto your blog. Lead Player is a one-time cost of $147 for use on an unlimited number of sites.

Bonus Tip: Lead Player gives you the option of adding the opt-in form at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of your video. We recommend that home builders add an opt-in form at the end of the video for a more relationship-driven user experience.

Wistia

For home builders who prefer to host their own videos on their website, Wistia features an elegant solution with intuitive analytics. Wistia gives you complete control over the look and feel of your video player. Wistia offers a free version for up to 3 videos and 5 GB. Paid versions start at $20/mo for up to 10 videos and 20 GB.

Bonus Tip: Need some quick tips to improve the quality of videos of your homes, buyer testimonials, and new home community events? Wistia features the most user-friendly collection of helpful training videos anywhere on the web (including how to shoot a professional quality video from an iPhone). And it’s completely free. See it here.

Add a CTA

Of course, you don’t need any special software to turn your video views into leads. Simply add a call-to-action at the end of your videos that directs viewers back to a landing page on your website or blog where they can take the next step. A virtual tour of one of your model homes might direct to a page where visitors can download the floor plan. A video tour of your neighborhood amenities might redirect to a page where potential home buyers can download a brochure.

Bonus Tip: Create a landing page with a personal video introduction from a member of your sales team. The video can include an overview of your homes or neighborhood, instructions on how to download the brochure, and an invitation to take the next step such as scheduling an on-site appointment.

With these three tools, it’s easy to turn that library of videos that’s collecting virtual dust on YouTube into an important part of your overall online conversion strategy.
